With the sharp increase in the number of intelligentdevices, the Internet of Things (IoT) has gained more and moreattention and rapid development in recent years. It effectivelyintegrates the physical world with the Internet over existing networkinfrastructure to facilitate sharing data among intelligentdevices. However, its complex and large-scale network structurebrings new security risks and challenges to IoT systems. To ensurethe security of data, traditional access control technologies arenot suitable to be directly used for implementing access controlin IoT systems because of their complicated access managementand the lack of credibility due to centralization. In this paper,we proposed a novel attribute-based access control scheme forIoT systems that greatly simplifies the access management. Weuse blockchain technology to record the distribution of attributesin order to avoid single point failure and data tampering. Theaccess control process has also been optimized to meet the needof high efficiency and lightweight calculation for IoT devices.Security and performance analysis show that our scheme couldeffectively resist multiple attacks and be efficiently implementedin IoT systems.
